Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her family are competing to win the team’s Fan of the Year competition, judged by Derrick, the director of fan engagement. Enjoy this. The movie was filmed on historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like it did all year round. The locations that serve as the Higman family store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ restaurant are real-life family-owned businesses.

But this is about a movie review. Come on, too many—it’s a hallmark movie. So why not the Chiefs. I thought it had a fair amount of football fan stuff and a love story.
Tyler Hynes was actually my favorite for a while
I enjoyed the story with the skating stuff, the cameo, and the Hallmark twists. I’m glad we don’t have to wait until the end of a movie to see the main characters’ first kiss. And you obviously didn’t know about the pillow thing being good luck or eating grilled chicken wings at your favorite sports bar at the right time. It brought back so many memories of my husband and I being sports fans in my family.
But I’m a romantic
I really understand the family connection to this hat—I have one for my 16-0 jersey. I found the movie fun and well-made.
